Actually, I don't like to hear about it but this is the real fact, Kawasaki motorcycles has recalled the Kawasaki 250cc "Ninja 250" series, but it's not only for Ninja 250 series, Kawasaki also has recalled the Ninja 650, Kawasaki Versys and other. So what is the problem? well it's because the footpeg issues and I thing this is not a big problem right?
Based from UltimateMotorcycling news, here is the bikes list :
2012 Kawasaki Motorcycles series :
250cc : EX250JCF, EX250JCFA, EX250JCFAL, EX250JCFL.
650cc : EX650ECF, EX650ECFL, KLE650CCF, KLE650CCFL.
"Kawasaki says due to engine vibration and damage during assembly, the clips on the mounting pins for the passenger footpeg can break and detach from the motorcycle. If the footpeg detaches, it may cause a distraction to the rider and a road hazard for other drivers.
Kawasaki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the passenger footpeg pin clips, free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin on March 12. Owners may contact Kawasaki at 1-866-802-9381." Quoted from UltimateMotorcycling
Well if you are one of Kawasaki Ninja 250 sport-bike owner, you should better check your footpeg part, but if you has changes your Ninja 250 footpeg with aftermarket/racing part series, I thing this news can't effect your Ninja. Good luck.
