2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r is likely to be the last year for Kawasaki to provide the R code on this 250cc motorcycle, all of this because the Kawasaki brand has changed the name for Kawasaki ninja 250cc from 250r to 250 only, you can read here ( 2012 Ninja 250), so if you want to get the Ninja 250R edition, you should better buy the 2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r before 2012. almost the same with previous edition, 2009 Kawasaki ninja 250r, powered by 250cc of engine capacity, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel twin, 6 speed transmission, with Keihin CVK30 x 2 of carburetors. While competitor come with fuel-injection system, such as CBR250R, 2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r still with carburetors, if you want to get 250cc bike with fuel injection system, you can't found it on 2011 Kawasaki 250, sorry, but if you want to easy maintenance, or want to take some engine modifications with easy way, the 2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r carburetor still the best for it.

2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r - the last R !!
I don't know why Kawasaki replace the R code from ninja 250 but in my opinion, today there are 2 motorcycles line up from Kawasaki, super-sport family such as ZX-6r, ZX-10R and others, and the another line-up is sport family such as Kawasaki 250, Kawasaki ninja 650 and others. The R label looks for sport race style and without R are street bike and friendly bike for handling.

2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r top speed and MPG
Based from here (Kawasaki ninja 250r top speed) and here (Kawasaki ninja 250r mpg), for 250cc motorcycles, 2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r is still the best for performance and power delivery, the 2011 Ninja 250 has around 30Hp of maximum power and I thing it's still better than CBR250R that has below 30hp. So everything you want from 250cc bike, 2011 Kawasaki ninja 250r has bring it for all of you, style, power and prices, all everything okay for 250cc motorcycles.
