Yamaha SZ

Yamaha SZ is the new 150cc motorcycles class line-up from Yamaha. Yamaha SZ 150 powered by 4-stroke, SOCH, single cylinder, and air cooled. As entry level bike, Yamaha created this bike with more extra power in the low to medium speed range, why? Yamaha said that it's perfect for Indian roads. Yamaha SZ is not global product from Yamaha, and i just found this bike at Yamaha India. Is Yamaha SZ will comes to Europe or US? well let see together.

Yamaha SZ Engine

SZ 150 comes with 150cc engine capacity, SOCH, single cylinder, 4-stroke, and air-cooled. The engine produced 12.1 PS @7000 rpm of maximum power, and 12.8 N.m @4500 rpm of maximum torque, this engine is not so different with another 150cc bikes so far. Yamaha SZ only have 5 speed transmission and this bike uses Kick starting system.

On the front side, Yamaha SZ uses 150mm of drum brakes size, it's not disc brake, okay.. on the wheel, Yamaha SZ comes with stylish cast wheel, and nice large of front fender size and design.

Yamaha SZ looks interesting for me, I know that Yamaha has another bike with 150cc and better features and better design, but you have to know that the prices of Yamaha SZ is cheaper than another 150cc bikes from Yamaha. If you looking for daily ride vehicle, Yamaha SZ is smart choice for you, it's simple, but comes with lot of features. There is no disc brakes, and no mono-shock suspension system, but still okay for me. There is another SZ series from Yamaha, it's Yamaha SZ-X, you can read here (Yamaha SZ-X). Good luck.
